Explore Uganda in 2024

I am thrilled to offer you this immersive opportunity to explore Uganda over an 11 day period. We shall be based in the capital city Kampala in Central Uganda where we will leave our main luggage, a practical approach that allows us to travel more freely. Kampala offers a mix of bustling markets, historical sites and vibrant nightlife. Engaging with the diverse traditions, cuisines and arts will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural heritage. I have a surprise outing planned with this in mind!

We will then travel 5 hours up to North Western Uganda to Murchisons Falls for a breathtaking view, enjoying the landscape and culture along the way including a stopover at a Rhino Sanctuary.The National Park surrounding the falls is home to 70+ mammals species including elephants, giraffes, hippos and 450+ bird species. Here you will enjoy a 5 star full board accommodation, game drives, a boat safari and an unforgettable hike to the top of the falls.

Our 3rd destination, Jinja, 2 hours from Kampala in South Eastern Uganda is known as the adventure capital of East Africa. It is where adrenalin rushes meets sightseeing meets photography. This backpacker experience will incorporate a quad bike tour, surfboard yoga, white-water rafting and white-water tubing which at some point includes snacks and pints of a national brew the Nile Special - essentially you can enjoy a Nile on the Nile! We will also enjoy a local guided walking tour. All of the above aimed at providing a unique perspective on the natural beauty of Uganda.

Uganda is renowned for its warm and welcoming people and interacting with locals will undoubtedly enrich your
experiences. Additionally, having a Londoner who is also 'a warm and welcoming Ugandan' aka me, accompany you on this trip, will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. My expertise and familiarity with the local customs will be invaluable, especially for first-time visitors.

I am really excited to lead small exploration meet-ups that will undoubtedly create memories to last a lifetime.

GROUP
To make this more manageable hence enjoyably I plan on taking small groups of ten per trip. This will be on a first come basis. However I will also take a group in February and March too.

PRICE
The price is £2750 based on shared rooms. A payment plan is available.

ACCOMMODATION

• 1st accommodation, 2 bedroom apartments with dining room, front room, balcony & kitchen. 4 people sharing. We will travel back and forth from this location where we will spend days 1, 5, 9, 10 & 11.

• 2nd accommodation. Para Safari Lodge. Deluxe Room. 2 people sharing.

• 3rd accommodation, backpackers experience with dormitories of up to 6 or cabins for two.

NOTE:
I will provide guidance with the visa and immunisations. Yellow Fever card is a must. I will also provide advice on certain items to bring i.e. insect repellant & tummy settling tablets, confortable trekking shoes that you should break into before the trip.

Please ensure you passport has atleast 6 months validity.

Meals in Uganda cost between £1 to £5 or more if you prefer upscale fusion restaurants, lounges and bars which charge approximate European prices.
