Las Cienega, Empire Ranch, (Inner Loop) Gravel Ride

There’s a great reason as to why the Empire Ranch has been the backdrop to so many western movies, including Bonanza and Gunsmoke (and also A Star is Born); the ranch is loaded with history, the distant mountain ranges are stunning, and there are miles of gated pastures that will have you singing “Home on the Range.”

Our route will follow the Las Cienega Inner Loop from Durtyfreehub.com, to include an out-n-back on E Yucca Farms Rd to Hwy 82 for a total of about 26 miles. We'll have a few gates to open and close. That means cows and open grazing lands. And the mixture of smooth to semi-rugged roads, sand and washes. Gravel Bike (40mm tires) or Mtn Bike will be fine for this route.
Milder elevation gain than Greaterville route. DFH has it at 700 ft elevation.

Social ride, we'll stop to re-group, take a break and have a snack. No one left behind.
Please make sure your bike is in good working condition and wear a helmet. Be sure to have at least 2 liters of water and food to keep you fueled for the ride.

WAIVER, RELEASE, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

I/we hereby waive, release and discharge the Meetup group Southern Arizona Mountain Bike Association (SAMBA) and its officers, ride leaders, volunteers, employees, organizers, sponsors, members, and ride participants from any and all claims for personal injury, property damage ,or death resulting from my/our participation in any Southern Arizona Mountain Bike Association event.

I/we acknowledge that mountain biking is a high-risk sport. I/we realize there are certain dangers inherent in the sport of mountain biking, and I/we assume these risks with the full understanding that injuries may result from my/our participation in any event.

I intend this release to discharge the above-named from any and all liability arising from or connected in any way with my/our participation in any event, even though that liability may result from the negligence or carelessness of the above named.

I/we certify that my/our bicycle is suitable for safe use in all events, that I/we are in good physical condition, and that I/we are able to complete the event. I/we agree to wear a bicycle helmet properly adjusted and fastened and approved by SNELL or ANSI.

I/we have read this waiver and release and fully understand its terms and agree that it shall be binding on my/our heirs and assigns. I/we consent to emergency care at my own expense if injured or ill.
