Cheers to green ideas! Carlsberg Challenge and Biomimicry

Details

Carlsberg (yes we're talking about beer :) is organising a cool challenge and we think biomimicry could get us to win! Here's the description:

Do you have a green idea which promotes and improves the environmental impact of beer? Maybe it inspires positive change in consumer behaviour? Are you an established entrepreneur with a new sustainable packing material or a student with a good idea for how to encourage the recycling of Carlsberg’s bottles and cans?

Carlsberg wants to craft probably the greenest Carlsberg ever, and wants to hear what ideas you have to achieve this.

More in fo here (http://www.sustainia.me/carlsberg/#submit-cheers).

So, we're thinking biomimicry could yield some really interesting solutions here! How about we gather and brainstorm on what we could submit? There are 2 awards of 10.000USD and 20.000USD! Application deadline is October 16th.

We'll prepare a few slides to frame the challenge and suggest some areas of solutions just to get the discussion started, then we can work on generating ideas. We don't have to work all together, we could have small groups working on different themes for instance. Anyway, we'll figure it out! We think it can be a lot of fun!

No need for prior biology/biomimicry knowledge, we'll be providing some basic knowledge/guidelines. It could be a good idea to have a few laptopa available for some extra internet research, but first and foremost this should be a social event ;)

Welcome! :)
