Happy Hour and Hike in Ventura

Let’s meet for a Friday happy hour and hike in Ventura! We will meet at Watermark on Main at 5:45-6:00. Happy hour goes until 7 PM. After that, we will walk up to the cross via the Ventura Botanical Gardens behind City Hall, through the Ventura hills, down to the pier, and along the ocean promenade past the fairgrounds back to Main St. It’s about 5 miles, and there is a somewhat steep uphill in the beginning going along the trail through the Botanical Gardens. We should be done around 9 PM.

The walk is mostly on pavement except for the trail in the beginning, so sneakers will be fine. I suggest that you look a little dressier than hiking clothes since we are starting with happy hour at the Watermark. It’s fine if you show up later than 6, but you will have less time to eat and drink! The food is delicious, and the this is the best happy hour in town!
