Sulphur Mountain Hike

Please join me for a lovely, 7-mile hike up Sulphur Mountain, located on the way to Ojai just past Ventura. It's basically 3.5 miles up, with an approximate elevation gain of 1000 feet, and then 3.5 miles down. We will see lovely views of Lake Casitas and the ocean. This is a fire road, so it is very easy to walk on. We will hike to the frog pond and back. The pace will be intermediate and not at a beginner's pace.

Please bring water, wear comfortable shoes, bug repellent, and bring a
warm jacket. Sunset will be at 7:46 PM. This should take us 2.5-3 hours in total, so I expect us to be hiking in the dark toward the end of the hike. You should bring a flashlight or a headlamp.

Directions: 101 North to 33 North. Just after you pass through Casitas Springs, take a right onto Sulphur Mountain Rd. Drive to the end and park.

Meet by the gate at the end of Sulphur Mountain Road. We
will leave at 5:45 PM.

The pace will be intermediate. Please know your own abilities.

Please do not be a "no show." You need to take your name off the hike if you aren't coming so we aren't waiting for you.
