Want to try putting your board game knowledge to work in creating a new system? Our friendly local boardgame developers are ready for your test!
Every other Thursday, board game developers from all over the Calgary area get together at D6 to playtest and assess their newest creations. In early stages of board game development, it's often you'll see cardboard cut-outs and hand written cards when playing, so expect some unbalance and untypical gameplay.

Which games you may spy:

• A television series director game.
• A blackjack-esc game with a cyber-hacking twist.
• A drag queen competition.

Because the devs are bringing in their own games, the $11 check-in fee applies to all players joining them (check-in fee is 50% off with the purchase of a food or drink over $5.50).

What is an LCG you ask? A Living Card Game (or LCG for short) are more budget-friendly options as compared to a TCG, while still offering unique, customizable decks that you can play against opponents!

We will be hosting 2 games to start: Netrunner and Marvel Champions!

Android: Netrunner The Card Game is an exciting card game of wits and strategy! One player runs a corporation with secret projects, while the other is a Netrunner, hacking and sabotaging to steal agendas. Thanks to the fan community at Null Signal Games, all cards are free to print, making it easy for anyone 14+ to jump in and play.

Marvel Champions: The Card Game is a fast-paced cooperative card game where you team up as iconic Marvel heroes to stop villainous plots! Choose your hero, customize your playstyle, and tackle unique multi-stage scenarios or campaigns. With no board needed and easy setup, you can jump into the action in just 15 minutes! Perfect for Marvel fans and strategy lovers alike.

Our awesome staff member Keith will guide beginners, so it’s perfect for all skill levels. Also, starter decks are available for both games, so feel free to drop by even if you don't have any experience! It's a perfect chance to try out something new. Come hang out, make new friends, and enjoy fun homebrew drinks!
