Used Cat Toy Exchange!

One cat's "trash" is another cat's treasure!!!
Dear fellow cat slave....we know your pain. You find what you think is the perfect cat toy or product, sometimes spending a lot of hard-earned cash on it, and introduce it to your cat with excitement....only for your cat to reject it. Or maybe your cat liked it for a while, but the object has now lost its "newness" and appeal....and the product return window has closed. And this didn't only happen once, but multiple times....so now you have a box, or shelf, or entire closet full of rejected/unused cat toys and products. Or maybe you bought a cat product and never opened it because you realized it's not practical for your cat or home. Let's put these to use, recycle them, and have a little fun!!! For this event, bring all those items and plan on exchanging them with other Caternal members' items (see below for hygiene info). For every item you donate to the group, you'll have the opportunity to take another item home to try it out. This is an exchange, not a sale. Kid-friendly event - bring them :)

BEFORE THE EVENT:

1. Please wash any hard plastic/metal items with soap and hot water. Run other toys through the laundry, if at all possible, with mild or unscented detergent. If the toy has catnip inside it, don’t run it through the wash - don’t want possibility of mold. Since some things would get ruined by washing (like devices with motors or batteries), as a backup there will be a UV sanitizing wand at the event to use on the toys before taking them home to your kitties.
2. Please swing by the store and grab one shareable snack/appetizer, dessert, or beverage item to bring (If you forget this step or don't have time, it's okay - Do not let it keep you from showing up!). Cups/plates/utensils will be provided.
