"The Evolution and Inspiration of a Photonaturalist"

After 30+ years as an Information Technology professional, educator, and non-profit Board member, David J. Cook started his second career as a nature photographer in 2021.
His work is inspired by his training as a Texas Master Naturalist, a passion for the natural world, and by Rachel Carson’s book The Sense of Wonder where she wrote:
“…so indestructible that it would last throughout life, as an unfailing antidote against the boredom and disenchantment's of later years, the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength”.

His photography explores his own sense of wonder and hopefully can inspire others to find and nurture their sense of wonder as well.
