The Intersection: Viewing and Discussion

The Seattle SF chapter will host a discussion of Superflux’s most recent video “the Intersection.”
The video depicts a future scenario, amplifying concerns and critiques of extractive capitalism, invasive technology, and the ongoing climate catastrophe. In their words, the project tells "stories of active hope from those who have fought to reimagine extractive technology, to serve community, support nature, and value planetary relationships.”
We ask participants to bring a signal (a related text or article, film, news item, new technology, or anything they find relevant) that connects to this design fiction. Together we’ll discuss the film and construct our own futures analysis of the video in relation to what we see and experience in the world.
