Board Gaming for Dads - York Region

HELLO Everyone

We are now in our 3rd year year of operation and have a solid base of regulars that show up each week.

This meetup is run every Wednesday at Big Rig : Kitchen & Brewery which is located in the Restaurant complex on the North East Corner of Hwy #7 and East Beaver Creek, right across from the Lone Star restaurant.

We are a welcoming group of fellow game board enthusiasts. The focus here is to have a good time and unwind with some great games and company. Be sure to be there by 7 pm SHARP or earlier. We can not always guarantee integrating late comers into games that have started. Big Rig requests that we are fully packed up and ready to leave the restaurant by 11 PM.

Please support our venue. We'd like to ask all attendees to at least order a drink and tip. If alcohol is not your thing, the bar has coffee/tea in addition to fountain drinks. Some people may want to show up early and order some dinner for themselves before we get started.

Normally, we play different and often new games every week. We lean towards playing medium to heavy euros but are open to playing and trying to different games.

While the organizer(s) usually bring a number of titles, it's fairly common to bring a game or two to these sorts of events.

Because the player count is usually not known precisely until everyone shows up, having extra games around with varying player counts helps when deciding what to play.

You may also want to keep in mind factors like game duration and table space required. If you do not have anything to bring, don't feel like you have to, we've got you covered.
