Why AI Is Rewriting the Economics of Services Firms
Details
Whether you're running a consulting firm, scaling a services startup, or exploring how AI can transform your operating model, this session will provide practical insights on building a more resilient and scalable services business in the AI era.
Artificial intelligence is transforming the services industry—but most firms are only scratching the surface. While many organizations are using AI simply to reduce costs, the real opportunity lies in rethinking how services businesses create value, scale, and generate margin.
In this session, we’ll explore how AI is fundamentally changing the economics of services firms—from traditional headcount-driven models to AI-leveraged operations that unlock new growth and profitability. This conversation is especially relevant for founders, operators, and leaders in consulting, agencies, professional services, and startup teams building service-led businesses.
We’ll discuss:
• Why headcount-driven growth becomes fragile in the AI era
• The illusion of productivity gains without changing the business model
• How AI-native firms expand margins instead of compressing them
• What founders and operators should rethink today to capture this once-in-a-generation opportunity
The talk will also include real-world insights and case studies from Vixul, highlighting how AI-driven strategies can reshape pricing models, margin structure, and long-term value creation for services-focused companies.
