Curious about what zoning reform means for your neighborhood? The City of Dallas is rewriting its zoning code for the first time in decades—and the Dallas Housing Coalition wants to make sure communities across the city are informed, engaged, and heard.
Join us for a Zoning 101 Community Talk near you to:
- Learn what zoning is and how it affects housing, transportation, and economic development in your area
- Understand what’s changing in Dallas’s zoning code and why it matters
- Share your perspective and ask questions in a welcoming, community-led space
- Enjoy food, drinks, and connection with your neighbors
Each session is free and open to the public. Come early, bring a friend, and let’s talk about the future of Dallas—together.

Welcome to the Dallas Housing Coalition's inaugural Resident Housing Summit - register here or at bit.ly/DHCresidentsummit.
Join fellow Dallas residents for a morning of networking, learning, and information-sharing. The event will be held at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, bringing together residents, organizers, and expert facilitators passionate about creating and preserving housing in their communities
Participants will leave the Summit with new tools, knowledge, and a shared vision for the future of Dallas. Whether you're a neighborhood association leader, member of a faith-based institution, or simply interested in learning more about how you can use your voice to advocate for a more affordable Dallas, this inaugural summit is the perfect place to meet like-minded individuals and get started.
Dallas residents are encouraged but not required to attend one of our thirteen Neighborhood Community Talks (Zoning 101) spanning October 1 - November 12 leading up to the Resident Housing Summit. The summit will build on the zoning principles shared during the Community Talks and include time for community visioning with "missing middle housing" types, including duplexes and triplexes, townhomes and condos, and accessory dwelling units.
