What we’re about
This Meet-up is to give Christian singles the opportunity to meet other singles and create lasting friendships. At this time, there is one couple (James and Carol Kilgore, the organizers of this group.) In the future there may be select married couples with a heart for singles ministry for leadership/mentors or couples who got married while a member of this group. (We will not kick someone out just because they got married.) We will have a wide variety of activities in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. There will be at least 2 camping events each year and at least 2 picnic/grilling events each year. This is not a dating site.
There are very few rules for this group:
1. Do not message anyone you have not met as this will result in being dropped from this group. This is to keep everyone as safe as possible. Once you have met someone in person, you may contact them through the message system in Meet-Up.
2. No political, divisive, inflammatory or negative discussions at events or comments in posts. Be respectful of others. We are Christian adults.
3. You need a recent, clear picture of yourself without sunglasses or a hat so you can be recognized at events.
4. If a member gets married while in this group, they may stay so they can continue their friendships and participate in events.
5. Some events may be at an individual's home or clubhouse. These events will only have the town listed for location. Once rsvp's are closed, the actual location will be e-mailed/messaged to the attendees. The home/clubhouse host has the ability to move someone to the not going list if the organizers or host have not met the individual in person. The host can also choose to move the individual for any reason with no explanation required. This is for the safety of the organizer/host as they will have people in their home/clubhouse.
Members can message James and Carol with any suggestions, event ideas, questions, concerns, or reporting someone breaking rule 1 or 2.
