Stargazing @Preston Hollow Park- Quarter moon, Saturn, possibly Jupiter & more!
Details
You do not need to bring a telescope to this event. The organizers have one or more to look through.
The moon and some planets will be present as shown in the pic below
The views through a telescope and the cityscape are beautiful here.
By the way, there is a co-current star party sponsored by the Texas Astronomical Society.
We won’t be there but you are more than welcome to check out their telescopes and observations of what can be seen in the sky. Go to a website called Texasastro.org, click on the calendar tab and look at any Saturday night star party event that interests you. There are usually two or three events each month.
Side note: There is an additional, associate Meetup event that is scheduled just before this one. It is called “Yogastronomy”. Feel free to look up that event on Meetup by searching the word “Yogastronomy” within the Meetup app.
