Topic: Empowering Developers: Tackling Security and Risk in Cloud Native Environments

Abstract:

In the rapidly evolving world of cloud native development, developers often face an overwhelming array of security challenges and risks. The complexity of these issues can impede progress and diminish efficiency. Developers need a clear, simplified approach to navigate these challenges effectively.

In this talk, we’ll demystify the complexity surrounding cloud native security and risk management. We’ll begin by identifying the key requirements and risk attack surface areas critical to security best practices. From there, we’ll explore how these elements interrelate and can be effectively managed within your development processes.
Additionally, we’ll introduce a maturity model designed to empirically and qualitatively measure the effectiveness of different security processes. This model will provide a transparent framework for identifying where security requirements are being met effectively and pinpointing gaps that need attention to achieve a mature, robust infrastructure.

Our goal is to transform the seemingly insurmountable into something manageable, helping you cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters. Join us to discover practical strategies for selecting and implementing the necessary security measures, and for leveraging maturity models to ensure your projects not only meet but exceed the demands of today's dynamic cloud landscape.
