Judge Moorehead was the first woman elected to serve on Dallas County Criminal Court No. 3 and has over several years of combined legal and judicial experience. Her background includes criminal defense, civil matters, and deep involvement with civic and legal organizations across Texas.

She currently serves as a faculty member for the Texas Center for Legal Ethics – James A. Baker Legal Ethics Series. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and actively contributes to advisory boards and nonprofit organizations, including Dallas Legal Hospice, Unlocking Doors, and CASA.

Her work reflects a strong commitment to justice, leadership, and community impact—both in and out of the courtroom. As a member of the Dallas Founder Lions Club, she continues a longstanding tradition of public service within our club’s history, following in the footsteps of figures like Judge Julien C. Hyer, who served as a Dallas County Judge and later as President of Lions Clubs International.
