DGM is a 4,200 sqft board game club in Plano that hosts tabletop gaming events, tournaments, shared games library, members marketplace for new and used games, and venue rentals. The third weekend each month is our Marathon, and every Thursday is open play (except Thanksgiving and during BGG con.)

We normally have 50+ people come thru on Thursdays who aren't on Meetup, so this event page is simply an invite to welcome new players.

Bring your own games, or play anything from our shared game library (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/DGM%20Library) - over 1,000 games on the shelves, plus new releases and prototypes from national conventions.

Bring your own food and drink, or we have some available for purchase in the kitchen (soda/water/chips/candy). No smoking or alcohol. Each game's owner decides their own rule about food/drinks on the table.

If you're new to gaming, or if you want to learn a certain game, almost anyone is happy to teach you. Thursdays are usually for tabletop board games, euro/strategy games, and party games, though a few people also bring CCG's or miniatures. We are family-friendly, but your children should be responsible enough and enjoyable to play among adults. (Sunday on Marathon weekend is super family.)

Sometimes the person at the front desk is off playing a game nearby, so if you come in and feel lost, look for anyone wearing a name badge lanyard, or simply walk up to the nearest table and say, "Hi guys, I'm new here. Who do I talk to?" Since our venue is run entirely by volunteers, someone within earshot should be able to help welcome you. :-)

You might get a tour, or feel free to wander the two big game rooms, library hallways, kitchen, bathrooms, and the (not-so)secret tiny game room in back. Mingle to find a game, or we have special blue signs that say "PLAYERS WANTED!" Sit with one of these at your table, set up your favorite game, and usually someone will come talk to you in no time. You can also ask anyone wearing a name badge lanyard to help you find players.

We are located at 930 West Parker Rd, tucked in a strip mall behind Shipley Donuts. You'll see our sticker on the doors!

Annual Membership at DGM is $140 per year. Members get free entry on Thursday nights and Marathon weekends, discounts on food and drinks, and can sell games in the Marketplace. Talk to the front desk about joining and helping support our awesome volunteer-run member-funded shared public gaming space. <3
