In this session, Leigh Capili (Developer Experience Engineer at Weaveworks) will give an overview of GitOps, the foundational principles and methodologies, the business value of GitOps, and a live demo.
The demo will show the power of GitOps using Flux and Flagger, CNCF projects originally created by Weaveworks. Flux (fluxcd.io) is an open and extensible continuous delivery solution for Kubernetes powered by the GitOps Toolkit. CNCF Technology Radar recommended only Flux and Helm as ready for adoption in their CI/CD category! Flagger (flagger.app) is a progressive delivery operator for Kubernetes, designed to give developers confidence in automating production releases with progressive delivery techniques.
