Kayaking & Picnic 🛶

Alright you asked for it! Although the weather isn't ideal yet, we think we'll get one good day this Sunday so let's make use of it. We normally go to White Rock Lake but they no longer rent out Kayaks there so we'll be back at Grapevine Lake, day use section of where the Chai and Chaandni Night event was (no carpooling or parking logistics this time).

Each person will be responsible for making their own kayak reservation using the link below (unless you are bringing your own kayak).
Once you have made your reservation, comment on the message board of this event so we know you are confirmed.

Book your Kayaks for 3:00PM for 1 Hour.

Event Schedule
2:30 PM: Meet/Greet
2:45 PM: Sign waivers and get gear from the Paddle Company (Life Vest, Paddles, Etc)
3:00 PM: Kayak away!
4:00 PM: Return Kayaks & Clean Up
4:30 PM: Picnic Time! /* See below for Picnic Details */
You are welcome to skip kayaking and join for just the picnic if you'd like. Just let us know if that's the case.

Suggested Optional Items to Bring:
WATER! Gatorade, Towel, Insect Repellant, Hat, And don't forget the sunblock!

DFW SURF Rental Rates:

• Single Kayaks - $25.00/hr + tax

(Supports individual weight of up to 250 lbs)

• Tandem Kayaks - $40.00/hr + tax

(Tandem Kayaks seat 2 people and supports combined weight of up to 450 lbs)

*There may be late fees charged for kayaks returned late.

IMPORTANT- Please show your booking reservation to the front gate attendant in order to avoid the parking fee!

PICNIC:
We will provide sandwiches/shuwarmas/rolls with some kind of sides such as chips, cookies, a drink etc. please indicate Chicken or Beef or Vegetarian when sending payment. Please do not expect this to be a hot meal, it's it's nearly impossible to keep sandwiches hot while we kayak.
