Election of New Organizers for Dallas Pedals & Pints

Hello all members of Pedals & Pints. It’s time for a leadership change. Meetup allows for up to five Co-organizers. Two of the current five are stepping down this month. Please think about stepping up and taking one of those spots. This group works because the members contribute.

Organizer duties are shared and delegated as they see fit:

  1. Pay the dues - twice a year. $190/per six months.
  2. Approve new members/Monitor FB page.
  3. Optional - clean out the roles of non-active members. - once a year. It takes about two hours.
  4. Discuss potential problems. (Usually about 30 minutes a year).
  5. Decide if you want changes. i.e. new jerseys, trips, special events or rides, dues, donations, departure from Meetup, etc.

If you are interested in contributing a little bit of time to maintain this group, please come to this event. You can stand up or if you choose to, give a very short (2 minute or less) speech.

Ballots will be passed out and the people who are present will write in their choices. Only the winners will be announced.

For the new organizers, the departing organizers will be available for turn-over guidance or consultations when requested. Otherwise, prior organizers will be out of the way and you are free to make changes as you see fit.

Who can run: Any current member who has attended three rides.
Who can vote: Any current member who has attended or supported three rides.

A big Thank You to Viki Winters who has been an organizer for most of the last ten years and has handled all of our behind-the-scenes IT stuff. She has approved almost everyone who is currently in P&P and she monitors the FB page. She and I will be stepping down this month.

Thank you's to Margo Brian, Mike Jeffrey, and David Szemborski for their efforts these many years. They wish to continue as organizers and have corporate memory.
