Two meetups in one day!

There are still available seats at this meetup! We finally have the first Meetup of the year! We encourage everyone to attend this event. This could be a great opportunity to expand you horizons ms build your portfolio. Please plan to attend and bring someone you feel could benefit from this opportunity as well. We hope to see you there!

We will finally have our first meetup of the year on May 19th at 7:00PM. Since we missed our Q1 meeting, this meetup will make up for it in a two-fold--we will conduct two meetups simultaneously! One will be a workshop, while the other will be a project meeting with group updates.

1. Workshop: Professional game developer Nicholas Jackson will cover topics on how to get started with scripting in Unity3D. Gaming and the film industry often go hand in hand and some of our members have requested that our next meetup provide some insight of improving their games with code.

Get more out of your game development by adding scripting to your game making skills in Unity3D. Nick will cover topics like C# vs. JS syntax, triggers, conventions, and syntax and more with time available for questions and answers.

2. Q2 group meeting: a) For all non-game developers of our group we will simultaneously go over our first major project of the year in a separate room - completing a 3D game by July 14th. This will project will need actors, voice actors, 3D artists, camera crew, photographers, game developers, songwriters, and more! Find out how you can be a part of a game that will debut to the general public!

b) Besides the first project of 2015, we will provide updates on new core team members, upcoming 2015 projects, and open the floor to ideas on how to evolve. Feedback is greatly appreciated. For those of you who helped our with last September's pool footage, we would like to welcome Scott Larson to our video editing team. He is relieving some of the editing workload since we have so much footage and photos to go through. Other volunteer and gig opportunities can be discussed during the meeting as well.
