Direct-style Scala 3 with Soundness (by Jon Pretty)
Details
Jon Pretty will be joining us to present on Soundness. Here is what you should expect:
Soundness is a growing collection of Scala 3 libraries with a shared philosophy: to exploit the power of direct-style Scala 3 to make it easy to write code that's lucid, correct and fast. This talk will be a quick-paced tour of several Soundness modules as we livecode a real-world application from prototype to production, touching on JSON, REST, generic derivation, streaming, effects and shells, with a particular focus on compile-time and runtime error safety. And we'll do this without ever deviating from code you can understand at a glance.
