Mark your calendars, Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 the Dallas Interactive Marketing & Internet SEO/SEM Group will be having their next Meetup! Join us and our guest speaker Chris Silver Smith for an informative presentation entitled "How A Mysterious, Ancient Game Helped Form Google's New Algorithm".
"The latest technologies that are conveying AI-like characteristics into Google's algorithms had their origins in an ancient, mysterious strategy game that pre-dates Chess, and was born in Asia over 2,500 years ago.
Learn how this ancient game inspired top mathematicians, affected Japanese, Korean and Chinese business strategy, and became one of the first "self-programming" software programs that have evolved into neural networks and machine learning.
Since the 1980s, this game was cited as one of the hurdles best able to test advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) as this ancient game was considered a key test case for assessing the advancement of AI. Slightly over one year ago, engineers at Google at long last succeeded in creating a program that would decisively pass the test, but Google's search team has already been at work incorporating the same sorts of software components into the core ranking algorithms.
In this meeting, Chris Silver Smith, long a devotee of the game and also a software engineer and SEO consultant, will connect the dots for you in a way that we guarantee you will never have heard before! Understanding how Google's systems were evolved will provide insights into what to expect tomorrow."
The event cost will be $5 per person and we accept cash and credit cards.
