Widely regarded as one of the greatest Tamil films ever made, Nayakan tells the story of Velu Nayakan, a slum dweller who rises to become a powerful underworld don. Inspired by The Godfather and based on the life of Mumbai gangster Varadarajan Mudaliar, the film explores themes of morality, power, and redemption.
