Is there a meaningful Interplay between Neuroscience and Esoteric Traditions?

Details

October's study will be conducted by Bro. Ottia Sills as he asks the question, "Can the interplay between neuroscience and esoteric traditions deepen our understanding of perception and consciousness?"

Synopsis:
The quest for human improvement has been pursued across both scientific and spiritual traditions for millennia. Modern neuroscience has uncovered mechanisms in the brain that shape how humans perceive reality, make decisions, and pursue goals. Esoteric traditions such as Hermeticism, Theosophy, and Freemasonry have long taught that perception, focus, and consciousness are central to spiritual growth. In the pursuit of human improvement and perfecting of humanity, in what ways can the interplay between neuroscience and esoteric traditions deepen our understanding of perception and consciousness as tools for personal and spiritual transformation? Can we reprogram certain neural connections to improve our lives and society as a whole?
