What Are the Rules of White Magic?
Details
June's topic will be conducted by Bro. Jill Alessandra-Garza as she presents the question: "What Are the Rules of White Magic?"
Synopsis:
Alice Bailey’s "A Treatise on White Magic," written in the 1930s, laid out how an audience schooled in occultism could use their thoughts to affect positive change in the world around them. Calling this “White Magic” as opposed to “Black” or selfish magic, Bailey laid out a series of 15 rules to guide the reader in how to use the power of his mind wisely, and selflessly for the service of humanity. In this presentation, we will examine the relation of her rules to Freemasonry as far as can be disclosed to the public, and what the modern mind can glean from her early 20th-century occultism.
Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
