Elizabeth Boulevard Historic District (Ryan Place) Walk with Optional Ice Cream After - Fort Worth
Thursday, May 9 - 6:00 pm

Michele and Robert invite you to a casual Thursday evening walk around the Elizabeth Boulevard Historic District with optional ice cream after.

Elizabeth Boulevard Historic District / Ryan Place
Elizabeth Boulevard named after the wife of its developer John Ryan, was the City’s first historic district and is also listed on the National Register.
When you pass through the Carthage stone and marble gates onto Elizabeth Boulevard, you are surrounded by a neighborhood of historic charm and grandeur that began in 1911 as the vision of developer John C. Ryan. Located just south of downtown Fort Worth and near restaurants, businesses and the Medical District, Ryan Place blends history, liveability and friendliness like no other neighborhood in Fort Worth.

Cost: FREE

Parking: A variety of options throughout the area. We highly recommend parking on one of the residential side streets near Braum’s and not in their parking lot (so those spaces can be saved for people eating there). Please arrive to the area early so you have plenty of time to find parking and walk to our meeting point.

Meeting Point: 6:00 pm in front of Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store (2509 8th Avenue - Fort Worth). Look for your host Robert (wearing a fedora-style hat) and a group of friendly people.
We’ll depart for our walk at 6:15 pm.

Icebreaker Introductions: We should have a good-sized group and so instead of everyone introducing themselves to the group we will get to know each other by distributing blank stickers and colored markers and we’ll ask everyone to write down on their sticker: 1). first name. 2). favorite food. 3). dream vacation. Example: “Michele - Strawberries - Kenya” or “Robert - Chocolate - Tokyo”.

Walking Distance: approximately 1-2 miles over an hour to an hour and a half.

After the Walk: Optional ice cream and socializing at Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy Store.
