Meeting Point: At the arboretum's "Main Entrance" which is next to the "Main Parking Lot" and Gate 1 off of Garland Road (8525 Garland Road - Dallas). We recommend arriving on site BEFORE the gates open at 9:00 so you have time to park, etc. Look for your host Robert (wearing a pink shirt and fedora-style hat) along with a group of friendly people. We’ll socialize for a few minutes while people are getting checked in and depart for our tour at 9:15.
Icebreaker Introductions: We should have a good-sized group and so instead of everyone introducing themselves to the group we will get to know each other by distributing blank stickers and colored markers and we’ll ask everyone to write down on their sticker: 1). first name. 2). favorite food. 3). dream vacation. Example: “Michele - Strawberries - Kenya” or “Robert - Chocolate - Tokyo”.
Late Arrivals: TBD.
Walking Distance: Approximately 1.5-2.0 miles at a leisurely pace with several stops along the way. Bring a beverage - it’s August in Dallas!
After the Event: Optional lunch at the Arboretum 's "Café on the Green" at approximately 11:00 or 11:30 - https://www.dallasarboretum.org/visitor-information/dining/cafe-on-the-green/
