This is a Paid Class Please get ticket's here
Teacher will be DMS's own Lisa Cloutier
This course is for the student who has never sewn or for those with minimal skills. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine, sewing terms, how to read a pattern, and construct a simple garment (pajama pants or shirt, or both) from a commercial pattern. All sewing will be done in class with supervision. You will proudly wear what you make in this course!

The course will also cover making your own patterns for creating dust covers for tools, etc. We will likely also make a potholder. Note this will be a biweekly course lasting for 6 classes and will be getting progressively more advanced as the class grows in skills.

Students will be responsible for purchasing the fabric and notions (elastic, etc) to make the garment/tool cover. Students should also bring a sewing machine, but we can accommodate approximately 5 students who do not have machines. Please note whether or not you have a machine when you sign up for the class.
