This month we are breaking in our new venue by throwing back to an updated Dallas PHP talk given by Bob Majdak in 2013.

Please note the change in location this month, as we will be meeting at the RealPage headquarters off of 75 and Campbell in Richardson, TX. Our new venue requests that attendees bring a photo identification to attend and to be as close to on-time as you can. If you plan to attend, we ask that you would please RSVP beforehand so we can get a headcount for our new host. Thank you!

------------

In 2013 we looked at ReactPHP, a tool for writing non-blocking IO services simliar to NodeJS but using PHP - back then we were on PHP 5.4. In this talk we will cover how ReactPHP works with some examples of it in action, as well as evaluate if our 2013 project withstood the test of time to determine what we would do different now in 2019 with current and upcoming language features.
