The Dallas Ruby Brigade has been around since early 2006. We meet every Tuesday evening to present, hack, teach, or learn about the Ruby programming language. There is always food. Sometimes there is beer. All are welcome!
This is Day 1 of a 6-month course taught by Kirk Keeter at Dallas Makerspace (DMS). Full details and sign up on the DMS calendar page: https://calendar.dallasmakerspace.org/events/view/10137
Excerpt from the DMS page: "Get a job in the highly paying field of software development OR build the application you’ve been wanting to build -- while learning how to build integrated Web and Mobile Apps using some of the most in-demand technologies in the Software market today -- Ruby on Rails, Node.js, MySQL, Amazon AWS, VueJS and React.js..."
Personal note: after going through this course in 2017 I landed my first gig as a Ruby on Rails developer with a startup and have been flourishing ever since. Kirk Keeter shows you the path and gives you the resources to succeed.
Join us for our 4th Tuesday Hacknight in downtown Dallas at the Modern Message offices. Be sure to RSVP so they can get enough food and beverage for everybody.
There should be plenty of street parking around, but check the meters before just in case. The DART line downtown is a block away, get off at the St Paul station. The offices are on the 12th floor.
As usual, this event is open to all skill levels and is a great opportunity to ask questions about the community or get help from more senior developers.
