Neighborhood-Oriented Development DFW Happy Hour

Details

This month's happy hour we will be hosting a guest speaker Derek Avery of COIR Holdings, LLC. He will be discussing how his projects help to support quality neighborhood revitalization while minimizing gentrification and displacement

Derek Avery is an experienced real estate professional and alumnus of Baylor University. He has been involved in selling, building, developing, and consulting real estate for over 14 years. For 7 years, Derek has saved property owners over a billion dollars in property tax valuation as a property tax consultant. He grew up in transitional and underserved neighborhoods in Houston, TX which instilled the passion for those areas. Derek is currently building zero-net capable homes in the southern region of Dallas.

This is a monthly event, held on the Second Wednesday. It was previously known as the Small Developers Happy Hour.

Connect like-minded people who have a variety of needs, wants, skills, and backgrounds who share similar visions of how to incrementally improve, grow, and rebuild their places’ built environment. Typical happy hours include small developers, planners, architects, small business owners, and others who work together to make great places.

We are here to share our knowledge and experiences, help each other, and grow our community. We welcome you to join us!
