What we're about

This is a meetup that is as much about community as it is about learning and there is no charge to attend..

Who we are: We are a group of adults who enjoy learning and teaching various metaphysical interests, including astrology, tarot and numerology, beginner to advanced. Our group consists of members with professional metaphysical backgrounds and those who are only hobbyists. We are currently learning about the Systems Approach to Predictive Astrology, taught by John, member of Dallas Astrology and Tarot.

What we do: We engage in a group discussion that is informal, led by any member who would enjoy starting it. In-depth knowledge of a subject for leading a discussion is unnecessary. During other occasions, we listen to a lecturer, and have the discussion afterward.

When we meet: We usually meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 2:30 until about 5:30- 6:00, which includes the time that we dine..check each meetup posting for exact times..

The following are brief biographies of speakers who have given memorable, stellar presentations to our group and who are current or former members:

Larry Coleman, Harvard University educated author of Better Living with Astrology and Tarot has delivered in-depth astrology and tarot-oriented presentations..

Edith Levy, with her extensive base of knowledge regarding Kabbalah and historical perspectives within Judaism, has led discussions regarding these things and more, including a secret society/Aleister Crowley presentation..

Angela Hinman, Investigative Mythologist, led discussions which branched into many facets within the metaphysical world.. Wow.. Interesting material.. Please see the meetup announcement to see what was discussed.. She was our resident Egyptologist, among other areas of expertise, and will be missed.. Rest in Peace, Angela..

Sirius, with his far-reaching, technically oriented astrological base of knowledge, has learned through Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson, the work of William Lilly and others within the world of astrology and has revealed how fixed stars and other aspects within astrology can describe specific events in time..

John has been following the Systems Approach to Predictive Astrology since 2003 after researching other methods of prediction. He has made numerous charts of famous persons, countries, and events, using and applying the principles of prediction to ascertain the causes and effects of the planets in horoscopes. The methodology used is in accordance with the IIPA (International Institute of Predictive Astrology).

If it would be included on Coast to Coast am radio show or Red Ice radio, then it's probably fit to be discussed here!

If you would like to present a topic(s), then please contact the organizer to secure a date(s). Anyone with a topic of choice is qualified to begin a discussion for meetup; it's unnecessary to deliver a formal lecture to begin a discussion. Simply contact Eddie to schedule your idea..

We welcome your presence, whether you're here to simply hang out and absorb or to present a topic.

If you don't think that you can attend on a regular basis, then please don't request to become a member; our group physically meets and isn't the right place for those who only want to add their name to another community. Thanks for understanding..
