Take advantage of the springtime weather and join us at the Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade! This is one of the city's largest annual traditions, attracting over 125,000 people and nearly 100 floats. We won't have the tailgate lot this year but it will still be a lot of fun!

We'll meet a little early at the Office Depot parking lot to get a lay of the land. The parade starts at 11am, and when that is done there is a block party on lower Greenville we can migrate towards. The parade is free to watch but the block party is $20 cash. Don't try to enter with purses or backpacks just to be safe. There are many house parties in the area to check out as well.

Parking is probably going to be a chore, but you may be able to find some in the area or the other side of 75. Lover's Lane DART rail station is right next to Office Depot, so you can use a park-and-ride lot and take the train there as well. $3 one way or $6 day pass. Uber or rideshare is also an option.

Cell service will most likely be spotty so keep that in mind while making plans.

• What to bring
Cash/ID, water, sunscreen, umbrella, phone charger, whatever you'd normally bring if you plan on being outside for a while. BYOB for the parade and I may have a cooler if it is feasible.

• Important to know
The earlier you show up the better. Parade at 11am. Lower Greenville block party is $20 cash and from 9am-5pm.
