Come and join us for FREE a swing dancing lesson and social dancing! Beginner lesson is from 7 pm-8 pm Social Dancing from 8-10 pm No experience is necessary and no partner required. Things to bring: water, soft soled shoes (to protect the floors), and your friends! Parking is available in both front and back of the community center. The elementary school parking lot is also available if needed. We look forward to seeing you all on the dance floor! Note: this event is cross-listed with Facebook & other Meetup groups so RSVP count is not an indication of actual attendance. Typically, about 20 people (& growing) have been attending each of these swing dancing events. (I copied this description from a Social Fun Meetup event.) Note: The lessons usually last longer than the first hour. I am not running this event, just posting it. It occurs regularly, every other week.
Music is supplied by a DJ. He'll play all kinds of music, including both fast and slow, modern and oldies, disco, swing, Latin, and rock. The DJ will take song requests. Large dance floor. Proper attire is required. No jeans or sneakers, no work boots Cover Charge is $15. We have some tables reserved just for MEETUP groups. There will be signs on those tables. I am posting this event with many different meetup groups, but all groups will sit together, so it doesn't matter which meetup group is listed on the back of the MEETUP sign. I suggest arriving before 8:30 to make sure there is room at one of our tables for you. There are some free food items available during the first hour. Liability Release - AS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING THIS MEETUP, YOU AGREE TO hold harmless, and indemnify the organizer and his heirs, and all members and participants of this Meetup group from any and all claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with this meetup. All meetup activities pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgment.
