For everyone’s safety and peace of mind: *1). Registration is required. Zoom registration name must match your Meetup name. *2). Your Zoom display name must match the name you used to register (the name change option in Zoom has been disabled). 3). Your profile must include a clear, easily recognizable headshot-style photo of your face (i.e., your face is not covered by an object). If you have concerns about posting your photo publicly, please email DrTanForGrief@gmail before signing up and at least 3 days in advance with your information and said photo. You must be on camera at least until the host greets you and when you are speaking. We appreciate your understanding and care for the community.

Sharing about your grief does not lead you to recover from it; still, it can help you feel better at the moment. Whether your grief is from a loss or unmet hope, your feelings and grief are real and significant. Thankfully, you are not alone.

Grief can cause us to be very erratic. My heart goes out to you for having to experience grief. Still, if your behavior disturbs other participants, you might be removed from the meeting. If this occurs, you may receive one complimentary one-to-one 15-minute grief support session by emailing DrTanForGrief@gmail.com.

We welcome kind words & sharing but advise you to refrain from giving money or advice to chat participants as there are so many myths about grief in society. Also no selling, self-promotion, or political/religious debate.

We are all swimming in this storm; allow us to lend you a hand, even if just for an hour, so you can catch a breath and keep on swimming to the shore. If you join in and there are others, please wait for your turn, as I will go around and speak with you. We are in this together.

Cost: You can make a voluntary donation after the event if you feel it has benefited you; everyone is welcome regardless of financial situation.
