Scottish country dancing in London

Or maybe you are already a Scottish Country dancer but don’t yet dance in London.
If you answer ‘yes’ to any or all of the above – come and join us!
Scottish country dancing is fun, friendly, open to all and, with branches around the world, offers an immediate social network to travellers. You can come with friends or come alone, there will be a warm welcome and some great dancing waiting for you.
You can Dance Scottish pretty much every night of the week in London. RSCDS London offers classes, social dances as well as open air dancing in the summer and can help you to connect with the wider Scottish dance community in London.

Weekly class for beginner and improvers in Richmond
Autumn term starts 24 September 2025If you've ever enjoyed ceilidh dancing or reeling and wanted to learn more about Scottish dance, this may be just the course for you.
Join us to learn how to Dance Scottish with great teachers, live music and a warm, welcoming environment.
Our classes will give a thorough introduction to the basic steps and formations needed for Scottish Country Dance.
There is no need for special clothes or shoes to begin with, just wear something comfortable and soft, flat light shoes. No need to bring a partner either - everyone dances with everyone else.
Classes will take place in the Library Annexe, Richmond - convenient for Richmond station.

- October 29 no class but do come along to our Autumn Wednesday Dance at St Columba's Church in Pont Street, SW1X 0BD

Beginners' course fee:
- £7 per week for RSCDS members
- £8 per week for non-members

Learn to Dance Scottish!
Our Children's Scottish country dance class, typically runs once a month, 1-2.15pm, on Sunday afternoons at St Columba's Church, Pont Street, SW1X OBD.
Aimed at primary school aged children (4-12 years), we also welcome dancers in their early teens. We do not currently have a class for older children but, do let us know if you have teens who would like to learn.
We have two children's classes scheduled for the autumn 2025 term (28 September and 9 November), with more to come in the new year. Classes cost £10 per child total for the 2 classes (capped at £20 per family). for more information see Children's Class | rscdslondon
