If you answer ‘yes’ to any or all of the above – come and join us!
Scottish country dancing is fun, friendly, open to all and, with branches around the world, offers an immediate social network to travellers. You can come with friends or come alone, there will be a warm welcome and some great dancing waiting for you.
You can Dance Scottish pretty much every night of the week in London. RSCDS London offers classes, social dances as well as open air dancing in the summer and can help you to connect with the wider Scottish dance community in London.

Burns Night Ceilidh and Supper Dance 2026
St Columba's Church Of Scotland, Pont Street, London, GBBring your friends and family - or come by yourself, no partner needed. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a traditional Burns Supper along with the fun of Scottish music and ceilidh dancing. There will be haggis – vegetarian option available – neeps and tatties, piped in and addressed in the immortal way.

The dance programme will include the Gay Gordons, Canadian Barn Dance, The Dashing White Sergeant, The Eightsome Reel, The Virginia Reel, and Strip the Willow (Orcadian Style). No experience necessary – all dances will be called and walked through. No need to bring a partner.
Admission: £30, Students (with student card) and Spectators £15, All children under 16: Free (includes haggis supper – veg option available). Pay bar available on the night (card payments)

The Tuesday Social
St Columba's Church Of Scotland, Pont Street, London, GB‘The Tuesday Social’ is a monthly Scottish dance session aimed at people in (or close to) their 20s and 30s living and working in London.
If you love to dance or would like to learn, 'The Tuesday Social' is for you. No need to bring a partner, everyone dances with everyone in this friendly, fun and sociable way to dance.
The session features popular dances, accessible to beginners but enjoyable for more experienced dancers too, consolidating steps and movements in a social dance setting.
When and where
The group meets once a month from 7.30-9.30pm in the Upper Hall at St Columba’s Church on Pont Street in Knightsbridge. Sessions are typically on the 4th Tuesday but this does vary sometimes so do check our listings to be sure.

How it works
This session combines great teaching with live music and lots of dancing, plus a social break with time to relax and chat. No previous experience necessary but plenty of opportunity to enjoy dancing and (if you wish) to learn about dancing opportunities (RSCDS London runs a wide range of classes aimed at Children, beginners, improvers, advanced and very advanced dancers).
The Tuesday Social group members often join forces to attend Scottish dance events in London and further afield (recent activities include RSCDS Spring Fling, Summer School, the White Rose Festival, and open air dancing in Kensington Gardens).
Whether you are new to London, a long time resident or just visiting - a warm welcome awaits.
