Learn to dance Scottish!

Details
8 week Beginners' course starts 8 Oct 2025
If you've ever enjoyed ceilidh dancing or reeling and wanted to learn more about Scottish dance, this may be just the course for you.
Join us to learn how to Dance Scottish with great teachers, live music and a warm, welcoming environment.
Our 8 week course will give a thorough introduction to the basic steps and formations needed for Scottish Country Dance.
There is no need for special clothes or shoes to begin with, just wear something comfortable and soft, flat light shoes. No need to bring a partner either - everyone dances with everyone else.
The course includes 8 weeks of lessons plus entrance to the RSCDS London Autumn Wednesday dance and to the end of term class party where the Beginners' class will join in a seasonal end of term programme with the General class.
After successful completion of the Beginners' course, dancers are encouraged to join the Improvers' course in the Spring term before moving to our General class which meets weekly at the same venue.
Classes will take place in the drama studio at Maria Fidelis School - a modern, spacious venue convenient for Euston and King's Cross stations as well as many bus routes.
