Weekly class for beginner and improvers in Richmond
Autumn term starts 24 September 2025

If you've ever enjoyed ceilidh dancing or reeling and wanted to learn more about Scottish dance, this may be just the course for you.

Join us to learn how to Dance Scottish with great teachers, live music and a warm, welcoming environment.

Our classes will give a thorough introduction to the basic steps and formations needed for Scottish Country Dance.

​There is no need for special clothes or shoes to begin with, just wear something comfortable and soft, flat light shoes. No need to bring a partner either - everyone dances with everyone else.

Classes will take place in the Library Annexe, Richmond - convenient for Richmond station.

Class dates

  • September 24
  • October 1, 8, 15, 22
  • October 29 no class but do come along to our Autumn Wednesday Dance at St Columba's Church in Pont Street, SW1X 0BD
  • November 5, 12, 19, 26
  • December 3
  • Class party December 10

Beginners' course fee:

  • £7 per week for RSCDS members
  • £8 per week for non-members
