Salsa dancing is a vibrant and lively partner dance that originated in Cuba, incorporating influences from various cultures like mambo, pachanga, rumba, swing, and tap. It typically consists of three steps and a pause, with a rhythm measured in beats of 8. There is a large Salsa scene in Albuquerque, you will have an easy time finding a place to practice
Bachata
Bachata music and dance has a rich yet controversial history. It originated in the Dominican Republic but early in its history the music was often censored. When you go out salsa dancing this is the other type of dance you see often.
