This workshops aims to focus on capturing ballet in the historic cobbled streets around Butler's Wharf in Southwark.
The Dance Photo London dancers will be taking to the streets of Southwark which are lined with old brick warehouses and little stairways leading to the River Thames views of Tower Bridge. As always we encourage your participation to help create the perfect shot, so bring along some ideas we may be able to recreate.
The area of Butler's Wharf is an eclectic mixture of brickwork right on the river's edge. We plan to make use of archways, alleys and green spaces to create a varied backdrop for our pirouettes, jumps and of course the pointe shoes!
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
Your camera and lots of creativity! This will also be your chance to practice your directing skills by conversing with the dancers to help capture the best shot.
This workshop is limited to 6 photographers.
We run our workshops in a collaborative and friendly way, this event is an opportunity to share your knowledge and ideas with fellow photographers.
We aim to give you an unusual afternoon where you can practice your photography skills on experienced professional dancers, share your knowledge with participants and learn something new from others.
We welcome photographers of all levels, whether you are a professional or a beginner.
