This is a fairly level route taking us from Barnard Castle to Cotherstone, sometimes following the river and straying onto the old railway path. The total distance is around 8 miles with total ascent of about 250 metres. There is lots of free parking around Barnard Castle, and lots of pubs and cafes for the end of the walk. This will be my first walk leading for the groups so feel free to ask any questions!
