This Sunday, join us at Prospect High Head!

Join us this Sunday, September 7 as we hike the spectacular shoreline along the Prospect High Head Trail!

Each week, members of our Dartmouth-based walking club come together on Sunday mornings to walk one of our local trails. New members are always welcome to join!

This Sunday, September 7th, we celebrate the lifting of the woods walking ban in HRM and return to our "regularly scheduled program" of walks, with this popular outing to Prospect High Head.

Meeting Time: Registration begins at 9:30 am and the hike sets out at 10:00 am.

Meeting Place: At the western trailhead at 179 Hages Lane off Prospect Bay Road (the Bill Freedman Nature Reserve).

Directions: From Highway 333, take the Prospect Bay Road, - turning right on Seligs and then left on Jamils. Continue on Hages Lane to the trailhead. Please do not block driveways when parking. It is about a 40 minute drive from HRM, - so car pooling is encouraged!

The Hike: no major hills, but there is a mix of trail surface and terrain: woods trail, scrubby shoreline, rocky beaches, etc. So wear good hiking shoes and bring walking poles if you use them. We will offer 6km and 10 km routes, and may adapt the route on the day, in response to the demands of weather and preferences of hikers. Bring water and a snack, and weather appropriate clothing.
