Special Harvest Moon Walk on the Saltmarsh Trail!

On Monday, October 6th, the DWC will be hosting a special after-dark hike on the Salt Marsh Trail to celebrate the Harvest Moon.

Each week, members of our Dartmouth-based walking club come together to walk one of our local trails and explore our different communities. New walkers are always welcome to join!

Our regular hikes are on Sunday mornings, but this Monday evening we have our annual Harvest Moon Hike along the Salt Marsh Trail.

Start Location: 806 Bisset Rd parking lot, 3 km from Cole Harbour Rd. If the parking lot is full, there is another lot 300m to the north, connected by the trail.

Start Time: Registration at 6:30 pm, and we set out at 7:00.

The Hike: It is a relatively flat and easy gravel surface, an out-and-back route of either 10 or 6 kms. On a clear night, the moon provides ample illumination to see and walk. But to be seen by others (there can be cyclists!) we recommend carrying a flashlight and wearing high-visibility or reflective clothing.
