Incredible Women in Data & Their Pathways

Details

This month, we want to learn about the journey of a few incredible women in data across New Zealand and Australia.

As we know data is shaping the future and the role of data analysts, data scientists and other data decision-making roles are absolutely critical to the success of businesses - yet only 15-22% of data professionals are women.

In this upcoming session, we will talk to a Director, Senior General Manager, and Digital Analytics Consultant about their pathway and experience in the world of data. In this panel session, we not only hope to celebrate and inspire women in data but to show the importance of gender equality in one of the important industries.

Join us and the three inspirational women below for a panel discussion.

Katie Ludman, Acting General Manager Marketing & Digital at Public Trust
With over a decade of experience in the digital industry, Katie has worked across content, marketing, UX, delivery, and analytics. Her passion is in delivering data-driven digital experiences that can quickly adapt to changing customer needs. Finding, using, and validating customer insights is a core part of her current role as Interim General Manager, Marketing & Digital at Public Trust.

Zahraa Almulla, Director at KPMG Lighthouse
Zahraa is a data and analytics director who is experienced in transforming complex information into powerful insights which organisations can relate back to their strategies and data journeys. She is able to break down complicated scenarios into actionable solutions. Zahraa comes from a Statical and Engineering Science background where she specialised in operations research and applied statistics. She is an experienced and motivated analytics leader who has extensive experience in leading teams of professional consultants varying from data scientists, visualisation specialists, and storytellers.

Sarah Crooke, Self-employed Digital Analytics Specialist
Sarah has worked in the digital industry for over 15 years in various roles: developer, project manager, and account manager. She now uses all the skills to implement analytics code and provide insights from the data it provides. Sarah runs her own analytics consultancy, Meliorum, where she works with some amazing clients such as Bank Australia, Alpha-H, and ACF. Meliorum means better in Latin, and Sarah hopes to help clients get better at using data to create better digital experiences.
