Talk Title: Matching Publications/Patents to LinkedIn Members
Abstract: LinkedIn members care about the contents (e.g. papers and patents) they created that reflect their professional credentials, but it is often cumbersome to add them to profiles. In this talk we will present a recent project in which such contents are crawled from the web and authors or inventors are matched to LinkedIn members automatically. The matched contents are sent to LinkedIn members as a notification on LinkedIn's mobile platform which enables one-click adding.

Talk Title: Predictive Modeling with Spark Streaming
Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss how to build a predictive engine with Kafka and Spark Streaming. A pre-trained model is used in online model scoring. The prediction results are displayed in a visualization layer.
