Join us for this engaging talk from Dr. Melanie Morrison, founder and CEO of BetterCart Analytics.

Dr. Melanie Morrison has a MSc. and PhD in Experimental Psychology (Social Neuroscience), and an extensive background working with big data, advanced quantitative analyses, and behavioural economics. Melanie has experience managing pan-Canadian teams, co-leading multi-million-dollar research projects, and supervising many PhD, Masters, and Honours students in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Melanie has formed a bridge between academia and industry, and as Founder of BetterCart Analytics, an AI-driven technology company, has built the largest, independent food and beverage pricing database in Canada using machine learning and AI. Melanie and her team have been recognized for their award-winning innovations across Canada. Specifically, Melanie received WESK's 2023 Innovation Award from Innovation Saskatchewan, won the Canadian Food Innovation Network’s FoodTech Next Program, the International AI Impact and Sustainability Pitch Challenge from Women in Cloud, the recent western Canadian Agri-Food Summit from Startup TNT, and investment from BDC’s Thrive Lab, a social impact fund.

BetterCart Analytics specializes in price analytics software within the retail and production sectors. The company offers a web-based platform that enables retailers and producers to monitor competitors, centralize competitive intelligence, and achieve performance and profitability goals through data-driven decisions. In this talk Melanie will tell us more about BetterCart Analytics and how they use data to drive competetive advantage.
