All Data for Good chapters across Canada are invited to join Global Count for a week-long virtual datathon. This event will start on Jan 22nd (kick off event) and end on Jan 29th (presentations) to support their mission in capturing and understanding opinions, needs, and perspectives of women and gender-diverse people, globally.

In this datathon, you will analyze survey responses from more than 30,000 people worldwide to understand issues of gender equity, key community issues, and ensure that global funding initiatives and policies are grounded in #datascience. This analysis will be invaluable in drawing a comprehensive picture of how individuals around the world are being impacted by gender inequality, defining key issues, and informing how we rebuild our systems and societies in an equitable way.
Global Count will use the results to advise women’s rights groups working on the ground in-region, to support their work advocating for impactful and sustainable change.
Global Count is an opportunity to ensure the voices of women and gender-diverse people define what is needed when it comes to funding and policy-making decisions that will impact them.

The Global Count (GC) is a global mapping project designed to ensure that individual women’s and gender-diverse people’s opinions, needs, and perspectives, inform the Global Acceleration Plans for Gender Equality formed by each Action Coalition (AC) at the Generation Equality Forum (GEF). Full details of the work thus far can be found in the Interim Report:
