We’re happy to welcome Australian data modeler John Giles, the author of the latest (and some say best) book on data vault modeling, The Elephant in the Fridge (see https://technicspub.com/fridge/ ).

Abstract:

Drawing from his extensive practical experience, John Giles will tell you how to quickly build a good data vault model with the help of proven data modeling patterns. By following the process he’ll outline in the presentation, you can avoid both the dreaded “source vault” and the analysis paralysis that comes with trying to build the “perfect” data vault model completely on your own.

Speaker:

John Giles is an independent consultant with decades of enterprise information modeling, enterprise information integration and enterprise information architecture experience. He is a big fan of (and expert in) data modeling patterns and author of two books on the subject, The Nimble Elephant (see https://technicspub.com/the-nimble-elephant/ ) and The Elephant in the Fridge.

Agenda:
